![]() Just experienced an issue where after several weeks of working reliably, the monitor was detected, with the laptop showing the monitor specs in the Display preferences window, but on the monitor itself the "No Display port signal" was shown. We had been habitually operating the MBP with power directly into the MBP and leaving port 2) on the Uptab disconnected. ![]() The adaptor has 3 connections on it: 1) a male USB-C to go into the MBP on one end, and 2) a female USB-C and 3) a female mini-displayport on the other. The adaptor used is an Uptab USB-C to DP in both cases. I have in my company 2 x 2017 Mac Book Pro with USB-C connected to first MBP connected to Apple Cinema Display and second to Dell U2731 27" monitor. This seems to be interesting issue, because - if it was adapter or firmware problem, it should be problem on all devices, if it was USB-C connector on MacBook - it's the same, it shouldn't work on my old TV or EIZO monitors (FORIS is also pretty old too, the other is last year's).īefore new MacBook Pro I was using MacBook Air 2015 and none of these problems were issued. LG Flatron L2000CE, 1400x1050, LMP USB-C to DVI adapter - flickering HP w2207h, 1680x1050, HDMI to HDMI via SATECHI USB-C adapter, LMP USB-C to DVI adapter - flickering both TV Panasonic Viera TH-37PV7P, HD1080, HDMI to HDMI via SATECHI USB-C adapter - working,no problemĮIZO EV2736W, 2560x1440, LMP USB-C to DVI adapter - working, no problemĮIZO FORIS FX2431, 1920x1200, LMP USB-C to DVI adapter - working, no problem Maybe two times I've got stable full picture of desktop for few seconds, but with corrupted colours, like some RGB-out problem. On some displays there's flickering problem (display goes black and in picture flashes for very short time, can be recognized MacBook's desktop and goes black again, this is repeating on and on). I have the opportunity to try several displays with different screen sizes, resolutions and input connectors. That's the time I've go new MacBook Pro 2016 with TouchBar (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports, 2,9 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3) and I've tried to connect it to external display, as this is the way I work with the notebook in my office and at home. I am fighting with flickering of external display issue last week. Is there a problem with my (just new) MacBook? Or is this a software issue? Is there a work around? Anybody have a good experience with the MacBook at on an external screen? The adapter is updated to the latest 2.33 firmware. On a smaller Samsung 1920x1080 monitor the Apple Multi AV adapter seems to work perfectly fine, but on the Dell it isn't stable (using HDMI at 1920x1200 resolution, as the Dell only supports higher resolutions over DVI or DisplayPort). Using a LogiLink USB-C to Displayport is a bit more stable then the Apple adapter, but also often experiences the same problem. The monitor often goes blank after a short time ("power-saving" mode) or only occasionally displays an image and then goes blank again. I'm trying to use a Dell 3008WFP monitor as an external screen (maximum resolution 2560x1600 with my MacBook, but that doesn't seem to work well. I have a Macbook 2016 and both an Apple USB-C to Multi AV-HDMI adapter and a LogiLink USB-C to DisplayPort adpater.
